Sulawesi "Celebes Classique" Coffee
Celebes Classique is a rare coffee from Sumatra and is considered to be among the finest in the world. The coffee is grown at high altitudes on the island of Sulawesi (formerly Celebes) in the middle of the Malay archipelago in Indonesia.
Sulawesi is also known for the infamous and elusive "Kopi Luwak" coffee, which is collected from the droppings of a cat-like rodent that eats coffee cherries, but passes the beans through it's digestive system. It actually sells for up to $300/lb!
Not to worry though, our Celebes coffee is processed in the traditional fashion and exhibits a rich, full body, well-balanced acidity (slightly more than neighboring Sumatra) and is multi-dimensional in character.
